About a week ago (or more) and the Canadians who came on this trip went to this big meeting with a bunch of government people, news people, and their exchange students. It was quite fun. We went and sat in an all Spanish meeting. I understood bits and parts of what was being said.

Afterwards we got to have lunch with everyone. There was tortilla patata (my favorite food here), mini bocadillos (like little sandwiches), beverages and afew other things. I found out that I am not the only mormon here. Dallin, who came with us, is mormon too. That was nice.

I found out how the other Canadians were doing and what their school is like and things like that. Alot of things are the same...minus the fact that the other kids in Valladolid, going to the other school, skip classes and don´t get in trouble. We would get in big trouble if we skipped. They go to public school and we go to private.

Also, the kids at their school don´t change for gym and don´t dress up for school. At our school everyone changes for gym. If you don´t dress up (mesning have nice clothes, and rather expensive stuff.)...well then you are a frikie. Girls wear high heels to our school. Alot of the kids atmy school have designer clothes...so we are guessing we got put in with the rich kids, which is ok with me. Alot of the English teachers have been asking us to talk to their classes.

It is really fun because they are all shocked that in Canada you can eat and listen to music in class. They get suprised when we tell them that we can drive at 16 years of age, alone, and 14 with a parent. I am really startng to understand alot. I wish we could stay here just alittle bit longer. Spain is really nice.

We have Monday off school because of some sort of fiesta, no one has explained it to me yet. Teresa, Marina´s sister, is going to Liverpool for a week or two soon. She is really excited. The day I leave Spain is the day she comes back. Wow, only two more weeks here. It is sad, and I do not know if i want to leave, but at he same time I miss everyone in Canada. I certainly do not miss all the homework I am going to have to do when I get back, better work on that haha. All´s well here, and I hope you are all having fun there.
I´ll write again when possible (haha),

p.s. right now I am going to go watch some good Spanish television. It really helps you learn. Honest!!
